Beginning with May 29th, the RC 44 will be guest at Lake Traunsee for the fifth time, which means that one of the most spectacular sailing championships is back in the region of Gmunden in the Salzkammergut. According to this the second Harbour Festival takes place in this period of time.

Also this year the "Feuerkogel" invites you to visit his traditional "Almerlebnisfest" for the whole family. The guests experience at the 28th July 2012 interesting things about the traditional clothes and the crafts in the region. Also part of the event are games and a lot of fun at the mountain and you can enjoy delicious from the regional cuisine.
At the 17. international Feuerkogel mountain run, on the 12th August 2012, the participants get over a distance of 11 kilometers with a vertical height of 1250 meters.
The Langbathsee run on 16th September is an event, with which the organizers want to motivate young and also old people practicing sports especially running. It´s not the target to reach the best running time, it´s the target to have fun and the possibility to run together with other people in a beautiful and undistroyed nature.
The historic tour “Stories from the History” through the old town shows a review on the tradition-rich history of Gmunden upon lake Traunsee. Eleven affectionately designed plates display the development of the town and also visualises it at distinctive places. The tour is pasting many traditional buildings and popular sights and all of the historical important scenes in Gmunden in the Salzkammergut area.
