The SEE-und Landschloss Ort in a special shine
The famous and well-known symbol of the town from Gmunden
– SEESCHLOSS ORT – and also the LANDSCHLOSS ORT - which is located directly to the Seechloss Ort - are be used as premises for exhibits of the Traunsee Schlösser advent. The
Even when you go on the 123-meter-long and also feastful, luminous timber bridge, they you can see floating Christmas trees on the lake, accompanied by Christmas sounds. The attendant are invited to think about it, to bide and to bethink.
Crib at the lake
On a floating platform at the lake their would be a crib exposed and present. With Maria, Josef and the child including with the animals as life-size-figures is the barn to Bethlehem shown.
With a special illuminating we would like to give the visitors a Christmas spirit.
Daily concerts local choirs
At all four Schlösser-Advent weekends there are daily two performances:
-respectively at 03:00 om clock and at 05:00 pm clock -
- each at 03:00 pm and 05:00 pm – with choirs, song- and music groups from the region which take a place in a pictorial castle chapel.
Child care and craft corner
During the whole open hour (except Friday) at all four exhibition weekends there are two accomplished kindergarten teachers which are available for the childcare. The children can make small christmas gifts, paint, bind baskets. Further the kindergarden teachers tell stories of Christmas and they write also letters to the "Christ Child"
Ceramic is a part of Gmunden, as the advent is a part of Christmas. Thereforewe have at the Traunsee Schlösser Advent also a special Ceramik Christmas market:Pottery your own ceramic bottle, gitf tipps and traditional from the Gmundner Ceramic is offered. Over and above that numerous of other exhibitors provide from Austria and Germany exhibits.
Cooky bakery/Advent-chocolate
Look at it, when in the bakery Christmas bakeries be made by Ingrid Pernkopf‘s book „Süßes zur Weihnachtszeit“. Includes tasting and sales. Especial for the Traunsee Schlösseradvent we have special Advenchocolate from the confectioner and masterbaker Hinterwirth.

Photos as a reminder or as a welcome gift!
In a specially equipped and decorate photo-lounge you have the possibility to let develope artistic photographs, portraits and family photos - we have a bigh selection of varied motives!
Traditional arts and crafts with selected exhibitors
Traunsee Schlösser Advent – the different kind of a christmas exhibition - the focal point of the exhibition are not the only art exhibits, also the spirited handcraft: Many exhibitors are also working directly at the place, so the visit to the Traunsee Schlösseradvent is a special experience: u.a. glassblower, blacksmithing, cloth-painting, candles of all kinds,
"Klöppelarbeiten", nativity blunder, basket-weaving for children, Books fpr children, which are print in directly at the place, sew shoe, spinning and weaving, flet-bags and shoes, wooden toys, Advent wreaths, Christmas arrangements and flowers, carvings from "Hirschhornschnitzerei", handmade necklaces and miscellaneous adornment exhibitors, soaping, essential oils and fragrances, lanterns, glass painting, balls, metall in all forms umv.
Culinary Schlösser Advent
Visitors can expect a special selection of culinary delights. The offer is varied and traditional! Fried chestnut, chocolate sticks (fruits with chocolate glaze), gingerbread, "Christstollen" and cookies, "Pofesen and Krapfen". Dumpling specialties from Mrs. Ingrid Pernkopf, fried sausage with pickled cabbage, raclett-cheesebread, fish on a stick from Johann Parzer, potato- and goulashsoup, venison specialties, liqueurs and brandies, tea,
hot wine punch, (Children-) punch and also the "Orther Stube" is open for you.
Christ child post from Gmunden
A special postmark for a very special christmas post!
…..whether for a letter to the Christ child, privat- or companypost with a personal note from Gmunden or for postcards/christmaschards for friends and relation. This year you have the first time the possibility, during the "Traunsee Schlösser Advents" in Gmunden, to give you Christmaspost to the "Christchild". The receiving office provides the delivered post with a green "Cachetstempel" and is forwarded to the postoffice 4111 "Christchild". The motive shows you the "Seeschloss Ort" and the musician Christmasangle.
Special stamps with the Schloss Ort motive
Special offer cooperation with the stamps- and coin collector club Gmunden bmsv-gmunden@aon.at, the first time you have also the chance to buy a stamp with the Gmunder emblem "Schloss Ort" on it.
