Following the footsteps of Glöckler
When the winter spook of the Rauhnächte in the Christmas festive scents dispersed, on 5.1.2011, the eve of the Epiphany, the dark demons finally chased: The “Glöcklerläufen” in Ebensee, Traunkirchen, Altmünster and Gmunden enlighten in the magical lights dancing many small suns the darkness. The figures are white dressed. They run eights and spirals and wear glowing "Glöcklerkappen" on their heads: large elaborately decorated structures made of wood and paper. The belts worn to the bells ringing and to arouse the germinating life.
