"The herb path"

Wild herbage garden in Altmünster

„The herb path “is situated in app.650 m above sea-level and consists of a fairy taleful nature slope meadow as well as a herb show garden. The plants may grow here extensively in a way as they would like. It exists a marvelous, natural cycle and a feeling of ease and freedom spreads out. In expanded walks visitors dip in the myths and stories of wild herbs and the preparation of a common "Kräuterjause" (herb snack) forms the conclusion of the expeditions.

Every Wednesday from April till September, the "herb path" opens its gates from 9 to 17 o'clock (only if dry weather)

Focuses of topics 2011

15 th July from 12:00 till 18:00 clock:
Flower essences: flower essences are already a trend. Their number has increased ten times. Own production becomes a "way to self-knowledge". We discuss the different techniques and create individual essences.

19th August from 3:00pm till 8:00pm clock: The "Frauendreißiger" - Herbage wreath:
The time of ascension to mid-September was earlier selected by the women to collect medicinal herbages and also magic herbages.

23th Septmber from 01:00pm till bis 06:30pm :
Herbages for your daily skin care:
We learn, how we can employ the plants for our own skin care - without fake-admixtures.

14th October from 01:00pm till 05:30pm clock:
Wild herbage ageratum and root-tonic:
The earth takes a deep breath... Hiking-tours with exploration from eatable herbages.

29th October: Samhain - We say good bye to the luminous time

In December by appointment: Fumigate with wild herbages:
When and why fumigate the herbages? Can i make incense sticks. In the "Kräuterstube" you get the answers.






Ausstellung Elfen, Wichtel, Kräutergeister

· August
20th August from 15.00 clock to capture: the summer
in herbal pillows, herbal tea, oil approach. We are collecting wild herbs and process for winter storage.

· October
01. October from 14.00 clock wild herbs and ointment Wurzeltonikum
Walk with a discussion of tasty herbs and roots approach of an alcoholic extract.
From the oil Approach (August) produced a salve.

· December – fumigate with mit domestiv wild herbs:
After an appointment, we will meet in a treffen wir uns im preheated snuggery and talk about the meaning of fumigation
we try out different practices. The participants will be astonished, which possibilities except to us the well-known dedicating smoke will be shown. Also incense stick can be manufactured very simply from the natural garden. With an excursion through nature, where we will have a close look to our tree resins, the workshop ends.

Compensation:
for passing on my knowledge in the above shown way, I charge for groups around € 3,- up to € 4,- € per nose and hour (Depending on the groups size)
For individual guests € 6,- per nose and hour.
A small snack is included.
Children pay half the price.

basic conditions of the wild herb path:
according firm footwear (hillside situation) as well as weatherproof clothing.
Dogs may be around- however only with a dog leash, because of a great number of game animals are aound!

How to get there:
From Altmünster or Reindlmühl in direction Gmundnerberg
At the crossroad "Auf der Edt-Kreuzung“ turn in direction Gmundnerberg, after 400 m turn left (at a "Physiotherapie" sign) into the "Tannachweg". Follow the road about 3,3 km around the Gmundnerberg. Pass by the hosue with the dwarfs, after a last left curve there is the parking for the wild herb path left beside the street marked with a blue sign.
