Traditional and modern in the Salzkammergut. The Meisterstrasse of the Salzkammergut is a network of the best mastercraftsmen in Austria. Their leading products provide a wonderful transition between tradition and innovation, between practicality and aesthetic, the basis of which are sound product development and the knowledge of traditional handicraft skills.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Meisterstrasse of the Salzkammergut is to track down the best master-craftsmen of Austria and to present them to a wider public, to create an awareness for authentic craftmanship as an important part of Austria´s heritage.

MEISTERSTRASSE SALZKAMMERGUT
At the moment there are 42 quality craft businesses from Attersee to Ausseerland who present their products under the brand name Meisterstrasse Salzkammergut, and by doing so they contribute to the renaissance of the Austrian handicraft tradition. Apart from the well - known names such as the Tostman workshops, producing national dress, the bespoke tailor Haselnus in Bad Aussee or the legendary imperial court confectioner Zauner, there are also the special hidden craft treasures, from hat makers to stove fitters and from the last shoe makers of Goisern to makers of lederhosen, from boat builders to goldsmiths, who make up the variety and vividness of the Meisterstrasse.
