Ebensee: Anniversary path

The local center "Rindbach" was the center of summer resort in Ebensee in the 20th century. During the summer, "Rindbach" was a famous place for artists and bankers who have consigned a lot of signs.

At the crossing "Rindbachstraße – Alte Traunstraße" diverts a narrow path, the "Schöffau" path. It leads across grasslands through a housing estate up to the "Mendelssohn" road. On this road you get over a short climb, passing the "Fichteneck", to a forest road which diverts to the right. Also at the right there is a dirt road which goes easily upward. Benches which are along the anniversary path invite you to have a break. Over a bridge you can follow a way to a viewpoint where you can enjoy "Ebensee" and the lake "Traunsee" from a bird´s eye view. Across certain hair-pin bends you reach the valley bottom. Cross the river "Traun" and go 20 minutes back to the starting point of the anniversary path.
