Already at the uphill ride with the "grünberg" cable car, you can enjoy a magnificent view over Gmunden, the leke Traunsee and the impressive mountain scenery.

The "Grünberg" cable car is newly built at the moment and the time of beginning operation is planned for spring 2012. As soon as we have new information, we will inform you!

To have alternatives to the cable car, we offer you following possibilites to hike to the lake Laudachsee or around the Traunstein mountain :

On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the Leisure Region Lake Traunsee offers you to park your car at the parking "Im Holz" and start your hiking tour there. You can choose between the tours mentioned below, the goal of the tour will be the "Umkehrplatz" or "GH Hoisn". From there, the Wander- und Badebus runs every hour or the Traunseeschifffahrt will bring you back to the town centre of Gmunden. At the "Wanderbus" or the "Traunseeschifffahrt", you can ask for a taxi voucher which is valid for a lift from the town square (Rathausplatz) to the parking "Im Holz".
