Themepath Stories from the History in Gmunden

The historic tour “Stories from the History” through the old town shows a review on the tradition-rich history of Gmunden upon lake Traunsee. Eleven affectionately designed plates display the development of the town and also visualises it at distinctive places. The tour is pasting many traditional buildings and popular sights and all of the historical important scenes in Gmunden in the Salzkammergut area.

The departure is at the townsquare in front of the town hall. From there the path leads along the “Esplanade” and through the “Kaiser Franz Joseph-Park” to the “Theatergasse.” Afterwards the path guides up the scenic “Kirchengasse” to the “Rinnholzplatz.” From there the tour heads over to the “Maktplatz” and subsequently through the “Kammerhofgasse” to the museum of town, the “K-Hof.” In the museum the guests would have the possibility to get further information about Gmunden and its development and origin.

This historical tour through the old town of Gmunden should attract guests as well as inhabitants to discover the attractiveness of the city core. The “Stories from the History” present themselves with tricky quiz questions and should attract pupils and children on this way.
