The visitors will expect one of the largest lake-sound fireworks of Austria, a water ski show, live music on several stages as well as an extensive show and kids program on the 13th of August 2011 in Gmunden with the traditional Festival of Lights, which takes place for the 50th time!!
Live music on several stages along the lake and at the town hall square arrange for the visitor summer tendency on our pictorial lake „Traunsee“. Of course also a rich kids program is ordered to our younger visitors.
The Programm Highlights:
One of the largest and most beautiflu lakefestivals is awaiting you, dear visitors, on the 13th of August 2011 in Gmunden. Beside music an several stages, there will be a manifold children programm. street artists, show progamm of the "Bezirksrundschau" newspaper and a water ski show wil perfect the programm. The absolut highlight takes place at 10:00 p.m.. a sound fireworks lasting more than 20 minutes. "steyrFire" promises also this year a true-to-rhythm of the music launched pyromusical.

Traffic guiding system
The federal road B 120 is reservate from the crossroad "Klosterplatz" through the city centre till the crossroad "Grabenkreuzung" from 6 p.m. till midnight only for pedestrians.
The tram of Gmunden runs till 11.45 p.m. at the "Lichterfest"
The citybus lines 1 and 2 and the regiobus line 3 from direction Pinsdorf are running on the usual lines from 17.30 p.m. - 23.30 p.m. in the usual frequency.
With the"Traunseebahn" railway to the "Lichterfest", The last train from Vorchdorf will arrive in Gmunden at 9.20 p.m.. And for all night owls, the last train back from Gmunden to Vorchdorf will elave at 2:00 a.m. in the morning!
