Festival of Lights 2010 in Gmunden

The visitors will expect one of the largest lake-sound fireworks of Austria, a water ski show, live music on several stages as well as an extensive show and kids program on the 14th of August 2010 in Gmunden with the traditional Festival of Lights.

Live music on several stages along the lake and at the town hall square arrange for the visitor summer tendency on our pictorial lake „Traunsee“. Of course also a rich kids program is ordered to our younger visitors.

Children's programm:
in front of the "Hotel Austria" from 6 till 9 p.m.:
Children's programm with theatre, creativ stations and a giant jumping castle, giant shute



Show programm:
Comedystreetshow with Mr. Marcus between 7 and 9 p.m. at the "Schubertplatz" square

water ski show
8 p.m. at the Esplanade
The water ski show shows the talent of young sportsmen and women of the water ski club union „Traunsee“.

Mega sound fire works!
The highlight of this year’s festival of lights celebration forms a app. 20 minutes long pyromusical to well-known sounds, which are, like always, not abandoned up to the start of the sound fireworks. Fire works on several pontoons ignited clock-exactly to the music transform the Gmundner bay into a light lake and let the night become day.

Traffic guiding system
The federal road B 120 is reservate from the crossroad "Klosterplatz" through the city centre till the crossroad "Grabenkreuzung" from 6 p.m. till midnight only for pedestrians.

The tram of Gmunden runs till 11.45 p.m. at the "Lichterfest"

The citybus lines 1 and 2 and the regiobus line 3 from direction Pinsdorf are running on the usual lines from 17.30 p.m. - 23.30 p.m. in the usual frequency.

With the"Traunseebahn" railway to the "Lichterfest", The last train from Vorchdorf will arrive in Gmunden at 9.20 p.m.. And for all night owls, the last train back from Gmunden to Vorchdorf will elave at 2:00 a.m. in the morning!
