Viewable from all directions, the "Traunstein", the guard of the Salzkammergut, invites you to the breath taking landscape of lake Traunsee.

Calm and crystal clear, surrounded by gently hills in the north, over the Traunsteinumgeben to the "Höllengebirge" mountains in the south, there lies the lake Traunsee. What is closer than disocover this area with the mountainbike?

Around 300 km of mountainbike-tracks are at your disposal, from comfortable, easy tour up to challenging round trips. The special thing about it is, that pleasure biking come to the fore and the Lake Traunsee region with its beautifil scenery will make your bike tour here to an unforgettable experience.

Alternation requested? Please help yourself:
the route network leads to 5 lakes, passing by a stalactite cave, and to terrific points of view: (such as the Spitzlsteinalm, Gmundnerberg or Grünberg), into nature reserve, to convivial inns or for reckless ones, on a downhill track with about 6 kilometers length.

Since 2011, there will be an additional approximately 11 km long mountainbike-track up to the "Feuerkogel" with 1.200 meters difference in altitude. And the one who was already here, understands, why the romains called this lake the "Lacus Felix" (the felicitously lake). We also keep on trying in 2012 to become more trails for you!
